Day 7: Write a poem about a room in your house

The Laundry Room

Glowing dust

floats in the air

That smells of generic,

scented dryer sheets

There, it’s warmer

than the rest of the house

And soapy water

swirls to clean

Our grass stains

and sweaty bed sheets

The washer sloshes

and the dryer hums

like a Sunday afternoon

The unpaired socks in a basket

On the window sill.
